Mark 6:27-29
International Standard Version

27 So without delay the king sent a soldier and ordered him to bring John’s[a] head. The soldier[b] went and beheaded him in prison. 28 Then he brought John’s[c] head on a platter and gave it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother. 29 When John’s[d] disciples heard about this, they came and carried off his body and laid it in a tomb.
